Filmmaker with 7+ years of experience working on large and small scale productions in Bollywood as a Director of Photography as well as Documentaries and Live Event coverage. Since moving to London in 2020 I have been working on Independent films as a Drone Pilot, Camera Operator and Video Editor as well as a broadcast camera man for large corporate clients such as Bloomberg, Cisco and Deloitte. I am not phased by difficult tasks, whether its tough terrain and environment or a challenging brief set by a client. I have worked in the Scottish highlands, the Swiss, French and Italian Alps, the Himalayas and the Cantabrian Mountains in Spain. Alongside my ventures into harsher filming environments, I have also got a lot of experience in urban settings having worked most of my life in cities such as London and Mumbai.

Work Experience

Director of Photography in Bollywood 

Freelance - Mumbai, Maharashtra September 2017 to June 2020				
Working at a higher level as a DoP in Bollywood on big sets. This means setting up and testing cinema rigs of all kinds, setting up and directing lighting scenes, directing the creative flow of a project and working under the Director to coordinate a set. I worked on adverts with some of the biggest stars like Deepika Padukone, Virat Kholi, Priyanka Chopra, and clientele in India such as Nike, Adidas, Reliance, Diesel etc. This helped me develop all the people skills I need to manage large groups efficiently and effectively. As the crew on these larger shoots was always changing, I learned how to quickly initiate someone and help them feel like they were a member of the team and valuable to the production.

Broadcast cameraman/AV tech

Freelance - London May 2022 to Present
Working as a freelance cameraman in London covering conferences and live events for Bloomberg, Cisco, Deloitte, TikTok, BT, UBS, HM Government, Marsh and Mclennan, The Royal College of Physicians, The ExCel Exhibition centre, The British Academy, Opus 2, Imperial college and The Central Hall Westminster. Operating mainly as the Primary Camera Operator while also filling in where required as a Sound Engineer or Vision Mixer for Live Streaming events.

Entrepreneur 

I have experience in Business starting having created my own, self sufficient footage repository company funded by my previous endeavours. It is still running today contributing a large portion of my income. 

Documentary filmmaker

While this is a newer venture for me, I have started working on short documentaries out in the field applying my extensive knowledge of film to my own productions. Documentary filmmaking requires efficiency, patience, determination and intimate knowledge and skill with camera equipment in order to get the shot in an often fast paced environment. Operating as a one man band, I am proficient with lav miking, audio mixing, easy rig and ready rig operation, rig building, lighting and talent interaction. 

Drone pilot 

Self employed - London June 2016 to Present				
Travelling the world flying my drone both for commercial work and personal work. Accrued over five thousand hours of flight time with an exemplary safety record.

Intern on the production of BBC Planet Earth 2  

Interning on the production of Planet Earth 2 for the Indian portion of the ‘Cities’ episode was a different challenge to what I was used to. This work helped me understand the difficulties of creating extremely high quality work in a short time constraint with a low budget. 

Registered and Qualified Snake Rescuer

Registered as the youngest ever “Friend of Snakes” (Qualified snake rescuer and handler) in Maharashtra at age 11.
